When should your child first visit the dentist?
Probably earlier than you would have guessed. Officially, it’s with the appearance of the first tooth which is at about 6 months old. But we know from experience that it's a busy stage of life, so aim to have your little one’s first dental visit by the time they are 1 year of age.
What to expect
A young child’s first dental visit might only involve getting used to the idea of the dentist. Sometimes that might mean not even making it to the dental chair, but that’s ok. The earlier we start, the easier it will be.
